Beaufort girls got off to a good start narrowly missing out on 2 goal opportunities before a Meadhbh Kissane point settling the girls into the game. Ballymac took their chances and notched up a point and a goal in quick succession. Orla O’Brien scored 2 points to keep Beaufort in the game and with Ballymac finishing the stronger they led at half time 1 goal and 5 points to Beauforts 3 points.

The second half started strong for both teams with Beaufort putting up 2 points from play. Ballymac replied with a goal and a point to put their lead out to 7 points. On this evening it was not meant to be. Our girls fought well to the end and never gave up with great performances from Sinead Barrett and Meadhbh Kissane they tried til the bitter end. Well done to all girls on reaching the semi final stages of this competition and we wish Ballymac the very best in the final.
